Horse Camp and a Day at the Resevoir

It's been a fun couple of weeks for the boys.   Last week Brennan went to camp at Land of the Little Horses.  He LOVED it!  His horse for the week was Columbus.  He was so proud of himself and he fell in love with his horse.  He was so sad to leave him.  On the last day of camp, Grandma, Jace and I went to enjoy in the park and see Brennan in action.  He led his horse around and participated in the show.  He really seemed to become more comfortable around animals and I'm so glad that I signed him up for this because he absolutely had a great time.  Jace enjoyed his day there on Friday but the poor little guy wanted so badly to be able to go with Bubba to horse camp all week.

Just a boy and his horse (Columbus)

Letting the horses out for the night

And seriously if this doesn't make you chuckle just a little bit then well, I'm not sure what will.

Brennan has been working diligently on a dino field guide.  He started it a few weeks ago and gets it out from time to time to add to it.  You can see here how he sets the dino up to look at it and draw it.  It's really quite adorable!

Mower rides and selfies

On Sunday we spent a few hours at the reservior near Caledonia.  It's beautiful there.  The boys loved canoeing, fishing and picking/eating huckleberries.  I'm sorry for all the scenery pictures but the light was so pretty and I couldn't stop clicking:)

Picking huckleberries

Serious about his huckleberries!

I was really enjoying the scenery.  The clouds and trees were reflecting in the water and it was gorgeous.

Dragonfly....I need to work on that shot!

Brennan was doing a good job of catching the fish himself.

I call this shot "Lunch and Dinner!"

I want you to look at how happy Nate is in these pictures.  He was really in his glory fishing with his boys.

Oh my Nuggie!  Look he sat down for a quick sec:)

Haha, look at Brennan

Raspberries

Huckleberries

Found the good ones!

This setting is so pretty even the canoe looks good!

And this was one of the craziest things I've seen.  These folks pulled their wagon with their tractor to the lake.  On the wagon they had lawn chairs which they sat on to ride there...their kayaks were also on there.  It was really something!  You just never know what you'll see in Rural PA.
