Halloween Fun!

The boys certainly had a Happy Halloween.  Friday, evening we went trick or treating at Mister Ed's and a local nursing home.  Saturday, we hosted a party.  The boys insisted that we have a "costume party," so of course I went along.  Thanks to Nana and Grandma for all of their help on Saturday with cooking and setting up.   Thanks to all for coming and for sharing your treats.  The boys also send a thank you to those who sent treats and/or cards in the mail!

First School Pictures!

Brennan's first school pictures are here!  He looks so grown up, like a little man!  The other picture is a piece of writing from earlier in the school year which had been displayed on the wall.

Halloween fun

We are busy planning a big costume party because the boys insisted that we needed to host one but our week leading up to the main event has been a busy one.  Last night was the Gettysburg Halloween parade.  Brennan and I walked in the parade with his school. Their theme was Halloween Hoe Down.  They sang a song that they learned as part of their Hoe Down earlier this year.  Tonight we finally got around to carving pumpkins.  I can usually duplicate pinterest ideas but pumpkins are just not my specialty.  Jace and I worked on the owl.  Brennan drew the face of a power ranger and Nate carved it for him.  We will do a little trick or treating on Friday and then host our big party on Saturday.  It wouldn't be right if I didn't share a few more pictures of leaves that I took on Monday.

The kids did awesome in the parade, adorable!  Brennan sang and walked the whole way.
