Happy First Birthday Brennan!

Happy Birthday to my little man!  It's been a wonderful year, more than we could have ever asked for, filled with many special memories.  You've made our lives so much richer and we love you to pieces Brennan!  We hope that all of your birthday wishes come true and we can't wait to see what this year has in store for you.

Brennan had a big day checking out deer at Bass Pro, meeting the Reese's cup at Chocolate World, getting his first haircut and playing with all of his new toys.  Here's some pics from his 1st birthday, do you know a cuter 1 year old? I certainly don't but I may be a little biased:)

What a difference a year makes! It seems hard to believe that a year ago we welcomed a teeny tiny 6lb 6oz baby and now he's this handsome little boy!

Some of the recipes used for our food:

Banana cream filled cupcakes:
Use a yellow cake mix, prepare according to directions, add 2 smashed bananas and 1Tbsp baking powder.
Fill with a mixture of banana cream pudding (use less milk than the directions call for)  and mix with coolwhip
Top with cool whip

This pasta salad is awesome!

Spinach balls...something everyone is sure to like:
2 boxes frozen, chopped spinach
1/2 bag (approx) Pepperidge Farm Herb Stuffing
4 eggs beaten
2 onions chopped or dried minced onion
1 tsp pepper
1/2 T accent
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup margarine, melted
Cook and drain spinach.  If using minced onion add it while the spinach is cooking.  Mix together all ingredients, shape into balls.  Bake on cookie sheet 23-30 minutes at 350 degrees.

And, if you want a great salsa that can compete with any restaurant try this, I used it in my Tiger Dip for the party but I really love it to just dip chips in:)

Brennan's Birthday Bash!

We had a great day celebrating Brennan's First Birthday!  Everyone kept saying that we can't believe it's been a year already!  We are all so lucky to have such a sweet little boy to brighten our lives.  Thanks to everyone who came and to those who celebrated with us from afar. Brennan is truly blessed to have all of you as his family and friends.  Thanks so much for all of his awesome toys, books, and clothes.  Just one question...where's the shed to keep it all in?  A few pics from our day as we celebrated with our special little boy!

B's fun filled weekend

Brennan had a great weekend!  On Friday night he went to the Harney Carney, he couldn't have been happier.  I don't know what he liked so much about the carnival but it sure made him happy.  He was literally walking all around yelling in excitement.  Saturday, we went to Lake Raystown with friends, where B loved riding on the boat and swimming in the lake.  On our way home he took at tractor ride at the farm after which he threw a thorough temper tantrum when we told him it was time to go.  Tractors are his favorite thing and he can even say "tractor."  Unfortunately my camera was buried and I don't have a picture of the tractor ride or the tantrum.  He finished off his Sunday with a quick dip in his crab pool and trying out his new swing.  Ahh...the life of a baby!
