Happy Birthday, Go Buccos,and More

Over the weekend we went to Pittsburgh and packed in all kinds of fun into 2 days.  We celebrated Uncle Ryan's 30th birthday with a Pirates vs Cubs baseball game.  It was the boys' first baseball game and they both enjoyed it.  Brennan stayed put for all 9 innings and enjoyed the music and his peanuts, as well as watching the game.  Jace was such a good little guy and was smiley and having a good time.  Both boys were in awe of the fireworks....Jace was mesmerized until he fell asleep 1/2 way through.  The Buccos pulled off the win with 2 home runs and a game ending double play, raise the Jolly Roger!  We also took in the Pens preseason practice; it was cool to see the arena.  I've never see such an organized and efficient practice; I guess that's the difference between coaching professionals and amateurs.  Summer met up with us and we were happy to get to visit with her and Noah and see their cool downtown home.  Summer showed us around and they brought us amazing cupcakes from Prantls (oh my gosh--yummy!). Sunday we visited the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium.  Brennan's favorite seemed to be  (based on excitement level) the aquarium and polar bear (who did a huge canon ball into his pool for us), but if you ask him his favorite was the giraffe. We stayed at the Wyndham which was a nice hotel and had an awesome view of the stadiums, the river, the incline, and Point park; it was within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and the ball park. It was a great weekend!
Thanks for everything Summer, hope to see you again soon!!
