Here are the details of our Mickey party. I made the invitations as well as all of the Mickey decorations, pictures, and signs. I did find pre cut Mickeys for the invites on etsy, as well as letters for my banner. I made the cupcakes and used oreos to create the Mickey heads. The oreos are separated and the large one is pressed down halfway and the two small oreos are placed behind to make the ears (very easy). The icing was 2 packages (one 8 ounces, one 3 ounces) cream cheese, softened 2/3 cup butter, softened, 4-1/3 cups confectioners' sugar, 1-1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract. The Mickey sheet cake is from Dairy Queen. I made a few other food dishes but no new recipes to share...everyone brought something for the picnic so that made it pretty simple as far as food. I also made the favor tags and filled the bags with coordinated colored taffy. The Mickey party hats were another easy DIY. The Mickey pinata is from Party City as well as the Mickey napkins. The Mickey balloon is from the Paper Store in the outlets. Brennan's Mickey shirt is from this etsy seller. Once you have a good Mickey template the decorations are pretty easy to put together.
